Christmasworld 2027 – Frankfurt am Main, Germany
What to expect
Christmasworld is the world’s leading international trade fair for seasonal and festive decorations and the central ordering platform for the global decoration industry, organized by Messe Frankfurt and held concurrently with Ambiente and Creativeworld at the Frankfurt exhibition center. For the 2027 edition, the fair continues its unique position as the only trade fair in the world that maps the entire spectrum of festive and seasonal decoration for all occasions throughout the year, from Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Valentine’s Day to summer parties and urban festivals.
Visitors can expect a comprehensive business environment that combines direct ordering, trend scouting, supplier comparison and high-level networking in one location, with over 1,000 exhibitors from more than 40 countries and over 100,000 square meters of exhibition space spread across eight halls. The product offering is unparalleled worldwide and covers every segment needed for successful seasonal retail, including artificial trees, ornaments, lighting, floristry supplies, garden decoration, candles, ribbons, wrapping, party supplies and large-scale visual merchandising concepts.
For 2027, Christmasworld introduces fundamental structural innovations designed to create additional business opportunities for retailers in a persistently challenging economic environment. The most important change is the integration of the new Seasonal Gifts & Toys product area in Hall 4.1, which brings together classic and seasonal gifts, full product ranges, souvenirs and toys for Christmas, Easter and other occasions that were previously shown at Ambiente. This integration reinforces Christmasworld as the leading international marketplace for gifts and strengthens its position as a one-stop sourcing destination for retailers who need to combine decoration with giftware and toys to increase average basket size.
Experience Germany’s Events with Ease
Planning a trip around an event should be exciting, not stressful. Germany Travelo brings event information, tickets, accommodation, transport, and travel support together to help you plan your journey with ease.
The second major change concerns the Global Sourcing offering, which moves from Hall 6 to Hall 10.2 after routine inspections identified refurbishment requirements, providing an opportunity to consolidate the Global Sourcing offerings of Christmasworld and Ambiente more closely in the western section of the exhibition grounds. In the new location, the area expands by around 1,000 square meters, creating a central destination for buyers in the international volume business and offering additional space for further growth. The fair also continues its successful special areas and business programs, including Decoration Unlimited for point-of-sale inspiration and Christmasworld Take Off for contract and large-scale decoration business.

Full holiday programme
The full holiday programme at Christmasworld 2027 is structured around three pillars that address every need of seasonal retailers: product presentation for immediate ordering, inspiration for future store design, and knowledge transfer for long-term business success. The programme is designed to provide valuable impulses for retailers, wholesalers, garden centers, florists, shopping centers, DIY stores, visual merchandisers and contract decorators, with special emphasis on how seasonal decoration can drive footfall and increase sales even in difficult economic conditions.
Trend and inspiration programme forms the emotional heart of the fair. Decoration Unlimited moves to a new location in Hall 6.2 in 2027 and showcases seasonal decoration as a source of inspiration for eye-catching point-of-sale displays, demonstrating how to combine products into compelling themed worlds that encourage impulse purchases. Florist’s inspiration areas present live floristry demonstrations with natural materials, dried flowers and sustainable techniques. Visual Merchandising & Light showcase presents large-scale decorations, light installations and concepts for shopping centers, city centers and theme parks, illustrating how lighting and oversized figures transform public spaces into unforgettable destinations.
Business programme focuses on efficient matchmaking and volume business. The Christmasworld Take Off event, now in its third year, again brings together decision-makers from large-scale and contract decoration, shopping malls, city marketing, airports and theme parks with suppliers from Visual Merchandising & Light. The format creates targeted face-to-face encounters, new business prospects and lasting business relationships through pre-scheduled meetings and guided tours. Global Sourcing in Hall 10.2 provides a dedicated platform for private label, OEM and volume sourcing with direct contact to manufacturers from Asia and other sourcing regions.
Knowledge programme is curated under Conzoom Solutions, the content hub for retailers. Expert talks cover trends for upcoming seasons, sustainability and circular economy in festive decoration, consumer behavior around celebrations, retail design, digital commerce and storytelling for seasonal business. All talks are open to trade visitors and take place on open stages in the halls.
Main attractions & highlights
New product group Seasonal Gifts & Toys is the headline attraction for 2027. Located in Hall 4.1 directly adjacent to other gift-relevant areas, the new range brings together classic and seasonal gifts, full product ranges, souvenirs and toys for Christmas, Easter and other occasions throughout the year. Suppliers of these product ranges previously represented at Ambiente will now exhibit at Christmasworld for the first time, creating new cross-selling opportunities. New exhibitors strengthening this area include Depesche, Out of the Blue and Ty, well-known brands for giftware and plush toys. As Stefan Schopp, Director Christmasworld, emphasizes, celebrations and special occasions remain important drivers of consumer spending even in a persistently challenging economic environment, and the new area opens up additional product categories and business opportunities for retailers.
Global Sourcing expansion and relocation to Hall 10.2 is the second major highlight. After routine inspections identified refurbishment requirements in parts of Hall 6, the organizers used the opportunity to optimize hall structure and consolidate Global Sourcing offerings of Christmasworld and Ambiente more closely in the western section. In the new location, the area expands by around 1,000 square meters, becoming a central destination for buyers in the international volume business and providing sought-after space for growth. This move places volume buyers in one central hub where they can access Global Sourcing offerings of both leading trade fairs efficiently.
Leading brands and exhibitor diversity remain core attractions. Confirmed leading brands include Boltze, Decostar, DPI, Goodwill, Graziani, Inge’s Christmas Decor, Märklin and The Prime Decor. Special experiences & activities
Decoration Unlimited is the signature inspirational experience moving to Hall 6.2 in 2027. The special presentation stages seasonal decoration as source of inspiration for eye-catching point-of-sale displays, showing retailers how to combine products from different exhibitors into cohesive themed worlds that drive sales. Curated by experienced visual merchandisers, it demonstrates storytelling, lighting and material combinations for Christmas, Easter and other occasions, providing directly implementable ideas for shop windows and in-store displays.
Christmasworld Take Off offers an exclusive business experience for high-volume buyers. Now in third edition, it connects decision-makers from shopping centers, city marketing organizations, airports, theme parks and large retail chains with suppliers from Visual Merchandising & Light. Through curated matchmaking and dedicated lounge, participants experience large-scale decoration concepts for outdoor and indoor use, including oversized figures, light sculptures and city decoration projects that create emotional experiences for visitors and increase dwell time.
Conzoom Solutions live stage provides expert knowledge and retail inspiration through talks, panels and interviews with market experts, trend researchers and successful retailers sharing best practices on sustainability, digitalization and experience retail.
Florist’s creative worlds feature live floristry shows with international florists creating seasonal arrangements using products from exhibitors, offering practical techniques for floristry businesses.
Global Sourcing experience in Hall 10.2 allows buyers to experience international volume sourcing in a concentrated environment with direct contact to manufacturers, sample viewing and private label discussion areas.
Family & children’s activities
Christmasworld as a professional trade fair is primarily designed for business visitors and does not offer public family entertainment like a Christmas market, however it includes product areas highly relevant for family-focused retail businesses. The new Seasonal Gifts & Toys area in Hall 4.1 is particularly important for family and children’s retail, presenting toys, plush, games, educational toys, souvenirs and giftware that appeal to families and children for Christmas, Easter and other celebrations. Retailers serving families find inspiration for kids’ party items including balloons, costumes, party tableware, napkins and themed decorations that transform children’s birthdays and family celebrations.
While the fairground does not provide a public playground or children’s entertainment programme, Messe Frankfurt has offered services such as childcare in past editions through its service partners, allowing business visitors traveling with children to attend meetings. Children are generally only permitted in exceptional cases under supervision of adults due to trade fair nature and safety regulations. For buyers interested in family-oriented product trends, the fair provides comprehensive insights into what families purchase for seasonal occasions, including licensed products, soft toys from brands like Ty, and decorative items that create magical experiences for children.
For public family Christmas experiences in Frankfurt, visitors can extend their stay to explore Frankfurt’s famous public Christmas market at Römerberg with its historic setting, which offers family-friendly attractions separate from the trade fair.

Best days & times to visit
Understanding visitor flow: Christmasworld as part of trade fair trio attracts tens of thousands of buyers, with distinct patterns that help plan efficient visit. Friday opening day generally has lower visitor density, offering more space for in-depth discussions and first overview of trends without crowds. Saturday and Monday traditionally see highest international attendance, especially from overseas buyers, making them busiest days with high activity in halls and networking areas. Tuesday final day has reduced hours until 5 p.m. and is ideal for last orders and final negotiations as many visitors depart.
Best time of day: Morning between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. is optimal for quiet business talks, detailed product viewing and meetings with exhibitors before guided tours and stage programmes draw crowds. Midday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. is peak time for Conzoom Solutions talks and Decoration Unlimited tours. Afternoon from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. is best for matchmaking events, visual merchandising presentations and networking. Late afternoon offers more relaxed atmosphere for follow-up meetings.
Strategic tips: Use Christmasworld Networking Tool before fair to pre-schedule appointments with key exhibitors, saving time during peak hours. Use Navigator App watchlist to prioritize must-see stands. Plan hall visits by product group rather than wandering, as eight halls require focused navigation. Consider staying for full duration to combine Christmasworld with Ambiente and Creativeworld visits using same ticket.
